02 · WHAT WE COLLECT

Only the signal we need.

Alerts and messagesYour email address, consent time and communication history when you join planet alerts or receive auction and Studio messages.

Auction participationYour email, name or brand, bid amount, auction status and Stripe payment reference. Planet Takeover never receives or stores your full card number or CVC.

Winner StudioThe campaign text, links and settings you choose to publish, together with the planet and takeover dates connected to your winning bid.

Service securityLimited technical records needed to prevent abuse, investigate errors and protect the auction, including request timing and security events.

03 · WHY WE USE IT

Clear purpose. Clear basis.

Run auctions and takeovers

To accept verified bids, determine the winner, capture the winning payment, release other authorisations and provide Studio access. The legal basis is taking steps at your request and performing the auction agreement.

Send requested alerts

To deliver launch and auction alerts when you actively opt in. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Meet legal obligations

To retain payment and transaction information required for accounting, tax, dispute or regulatory purposes.

Protect the service

To prevent fraud and abuse, verify webhook events and investigate security or reliability problems. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a safe service.

04 · PROVIDERS

Who helps run the orbit.

We use carefully selected service providers only where necessary:

Stripe for card authorisation, payment processing and fraud prevention.
Resend for transactional emails and requested alerts.
OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure for application hosting, security and database services.

These providers process information under their own contractual and security safeguards. Where processing involves a country outside the European Economic Area, the provider’s applicable transfer safeguards are used.

05 · RETENTION AND RIGHTS

You remain in control.

How long we keep data

Alert details are retained until you unsubscribe or the list closes. Auction, payment and takeover records are kept only for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes and meet applicable accounting or legal obligations. Expired Studio access tokens are no longer accepted.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection where applicable, and you may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

How to exercise them

Email privacy@planettakeover.space. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

06 · PAYMENTS, COOKIES AND AUTOMATION

What happens behind the interface.

Automatic auction outcome

The platform applies the published auction rules automatically: the highest valid, authorised bid at the official closing time wins. You can contact us if you believe a technical or payment error affected an outcome.

Essential cookies

A secure, HttpOnly cookie keeps a verified winner signed in to the private Studio. Stripe may use essential payment and fraud-prevention technology. Planet Takeover does not currently use advertising or behavioural analytics cookies.

Age

The auction is intended for adults who can legally enter into a payment agreement. We do not knowingly invite children to submit personal data or bids.

We may update this policy when the service, providers or legal requirements change. Material changes will be shown here with a new effective date.
